Audience Research
In this section we looked at audience research and analysed the horror genre taking into account age, genre and people interests in the horror genre. We are looking at most popular media streaming websites and most popular genres they are streaming.
Netflix- Who's renting what horror Netflix is a website that allows you to watch a range of Films and TV shows. It allows you to watch these range of Films and Tv shows on tv, tablet and computer. It's a multi media website and app and can be used anywhere. We researched into horror genre to see the most popular films in the current market.

Metacritic- Who's rating what horrorMetacritic let us see the at ratings of the horror films. It also gives us feedback on each film from the audience. This was helpful as it allowed us to see the most popular subgenre and film that people are currently watching.

IMDB- What the experts say In this section we looked at IMDB is the research into experts opinions. e.g the audience and critics. Who have given specific rating out of 5 stars to each film or tv series. This helped us to chose the subgenre which was most popular.

Google Trends- The social context for your horrorGoogle Trends allowed us to look at specific trends . It helped us to see the increase in popularity on a line graph by typing in one specific word. This helped us to see the current trend with the increase and decrease of it. It helped to see the potential horror subgenre and theme.

Amazon- Who's buying what horror In this section we looked at what was being purchased in a range of departments on Amazon. We looked at the top selling sub genre of horror films in the current market. This helped to make our decision easier to pick our subgenre and looking at our target audience.

BBFC- work on target audience British Board of Film Classification will give an age rating and certificate due to the content in the film. This will give us the correct target audience for our sub genre It makes sure that the specific subgenre is suitable for the age rating.

Box Office Guru- What type of horror makes money In this section we looked at Box Office Guru to see what type of horror is making the money. It looks at how much money it earned and how long it was in the cinema. This tells us the popular subgenre currently at the moment.

Completed questionnaireCreating questionnaires to look at specific audience and what is there horror interest. This gave us into more of insight as to what sub genre we should make. We also made pie charts to display our findings to show who was interested in our OTS.

Audience interviews (moving image)We looked at the specific target audience by interviewing students on their decisions of horror films. This helped us to decide our horror opening title sequence. Give us a point of view of what the audience likes and what would be successful for our Opening Title Sequence.
