Killercamz Prelim First Attempt
During our first test Prelim task we had to come up with a two way conversation. We used the 180 degree rule which intends for you to stay one side of the conversation. We did not know about 180 degree in the first shot. We found that we switch to the other side of the conversation which meant that the characters switched sides in the conversation. This caused the audience to became confused as to which side the character was in the conversation. We used over the shoulder shots but they became crossed over. There is match on action in this shot as the shot becomes continous through out. This means that the shot makes sense during the story. Next time we will need to make sure the camera is still and the shots do not get switched.
Match on action: Where the cut from one shot to the next is principally guided by some kind of fore ground physical movement an esencial component of continuity editing. |

Prelim Final Attempt
|
The next shot we shot of the conversation was taken after we learned about 180 degree rule. We thought that the shot we did a second time was shot successfully and well. We used varies shots but found that though out shooting there were many mistakes produced. One shot had sun glasses on the characters head and then the character had sun glasses over the eyes. The camera shot were also too long at times but we managed to overcome this with a bit of editing. We used varies camera shots such as low, long , follow shot. We found that some of the shots so we cropped them to make them shorter.
